Yogurt Cake

A tender and moist yogurt cake that is simple to make and perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your cake pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the yogurt and sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently until no streaks of flour remain.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and shake it to spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cake in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar or top with fresh fruits before serving.
