Decadent Blackberry Cream Cheese Danish Pastries

  • 1 package Puff Pastry Sheets
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Blackberry Curd
  • Fresh Blackberries for topping
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: Additional Powdered Sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface, rolling it out to about 1/8 inch thickness.
  3. Create a folding edge by scoring a smaller square around the edges of each pastry square.
  4. Prepare the cream cheese filling by beating together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Assemble the pastries by spooning the cream cheese mixture into the center of each square, adding blackberry curd on top.
  6. Fold the corners of each square toward the center to form a pocket.
  7. Apply the egg wash by brushing it over the tops of the pastries.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffy and golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

These pastries can be frozen before or after baking. Enjoy them warm for the best flavor!
