Sweet and Simple Raspberry Pastry Twists

Delightful Raspberry Pastry Twists with golden, flaky puff pastry wrapped around a sweet raspberry filling.

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (10 oz), thawed
  • 1/2 cup seedless raspberry preserves or jam
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water or milk (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (confectioners’ sugar)
  • 23 teaspoons milk or lemon juice (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the puff pastry by rolling it out into a rectangle, about 10×14 inches.
  3. Spread the raspberry preserves over one half of the pastry, leaving an inch border.
  4. Fold the pastry over the preserves to create a rectangle and press down to seal.
  5. Cut the rectangle into strips about 1 inch wide.
  6. Twist each strip several times to create a spiral shape.
  7. Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Make the egg wash by whisking together the egg and water or milk, then brush it over each twist.
  9. Sprinkle granulated sugar on top before baking.
  10. Bake for 18-20 minutes until puffed and golden.
  11. Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar with milk or lemon juice until smooth.
  12. Glaze the warm twists before serving.

Notes

These twists are perfect for brunch or as a dessert. Serve warm with powdered sugar or ice cream.
