Crocheted Comfort: A Homestyle Potato and Cheese Bake

A warm and comforting potato and cheese bake that brings nostalgia and joy to the table, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 34 medium-sized Potatoes
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
  3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the chopped onions and minced garlic.
  4. In a greased baking dish, start layering your ingredients: potatoes, cream, onion and garlic mixture, and cheese.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden.
  7. Let the dish rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
