Pumpkin Sweet Potato Dump Cake

A delightful blend of pumpkin and sweet potato in a simple dump cake, topped with crunchy pecans—a perfect fall dessert.

  • 1 can pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups mashed sweet potato
  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing it with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Layer the pumpkin puree evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  4. Add the mashed sweet potato over the pumpkin puree without mixing.
  5. Sprinkle the spice cake mix over the mashed sweet potato layer.
  6. Add chopped pecans on top of the cake mix.
  7. Melt the butter and drizzle it over the entire mixture.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes until the top is golden brown and edges are bubbling.
  9. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
