Pumpkin Bourbon Pecan Dump Cake

A cozy and easy dessert that combines pumpkin puree, bourbon, and pecans for a delightful fall treat.

  • 1 can pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon bourbon extract (or vanilla extract)
  • 1 package butter pecan cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts/almonds)
  • ½ cup melted butter (1 stick)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Mix in a large bowl pumpkin puree, bourbon extract, and a sprinkle of warm spices until smooth.
  4. Layer the pumpkin mixture in the baking dish, spreading evenly. Sprinkle cake mix over it without mixing.
  5. Add chopped pecans and drizzle melted butter over everything.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until edges are golden and center is set.
  7. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, and consider drizzling with caramel sauce.
