Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Make a well in the center and add milk, melted butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Pour fresh lemon juice evenly over the batter; do not mix.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
