Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix in the melted butter.
  4. Combine the baking soda, salt, and flour in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients and fold gently.
  6. Add the beaten egg, sugar, and vanilla extract, then fold until incorporated.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  9. Pour in the batter and smooth the top.
  10. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Adjust bake time if using larger or smaller pans.
