Strawberry Pretzel Jello Salad

A delightful mix of crunchy pretzel crust, creamy layers, and vibrant strawberry jello, perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 2 1/2 cups pretzels, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 16 ounces TruWhip or Cool Whip
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 6 ounces instant strawberry jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced

Instructions

  1. Combine pretzels, sugar, and melted butter in a mixing bowl; mix well.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and pour the mixture into a greased baking dish; bake for 10 minutes.
  3. Beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth; fold in Cool Whip.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  5. Mix jello powder with boiling water until dissolved; let cool before adding strawberries.
  6. Pour jello mixture over the cream cheese layer; cover and refrigerate for 4-6 hours until set.

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of fresh mint and whipped cream if desired. Makes an excellent addition to summer picnics and gatherings.
