  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add softened butter and mix until resembling coarse crumbs.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 8×8-inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until lightly golden.
  6. Slice fresh strawberries and mix with strawberry jam in a separate bowl.
  7. Blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
  9. Layer the strawberry mixture on top of the cream cheese.
  10. Bake again for 20-25 minutes until bubbling.
  11. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
  12. Serve with powdered sugar or whipped cream.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use a gluten-free flour blend. Frozen strawberries can be used, but ensure they’re thawed and drained.
