Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups with Chocolate Pudding and Cookie Crumbs

Delightful layered dessert cups combining rich chocolate pudding, pumpkin puree, and crunchy cookie crumbs, perfect for fall festivities.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups chocolate pudding (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup Cool Whip or whipped cream
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
  • Gummy pumpkins for decoration
  • Optional: Food coloring (orange)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package instructions or make homemade by heating milk and whisking in sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch until thickened.
  2. Mix in the pumpkin puree once the pudding cools, gently folding without overmixing.
  3. Whip the Cool Whip or heavy cream until soft peaks form, adding sugar and vanilla if using heavy cream.
  4. Layer the ingredients in serving cups, starting with chocolate pudding, then a layer of whipped cream.
  5. Add cookie crumbs over the whipped cream for the “dirt” effect.
  6. Repeat layers until cups are full, ending with whipped cream.
  7. Decorate with gummy pumpkins and sprinkles of food coloring if desired.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
