Mummy Meatloaf

A spooktacular twist on classic comfort food, this Mummy Meatloaf features ground beef wrapped in flaky pastry and adorned with olive eyes, making dinner fun and festive!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Pre-made pastry dough or crescent roll dough
  • 2 olives, halved (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix ground beef, mashed potatoes, ketchup, onion, egg, and bread crumbs in a large bowl; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Create bandages by rolling out pastry dough into strips and wrapping them around the meatloaf.
  5. Add olives as eyes.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
