Classic Southern Peach Cobbler

  • 68 Fresh Peaches, sliced (about 4 cups)
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Cinnamon (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the peaches by washing and slicing them. Toss in a bowl with sugar and cinnamon, and let sit for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Melt the butter in a 9×13 baking dish.
  4. Make the batter by mixing flour, baking powder, and salt, then whisk in milk until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring. Spoon the marinated peaches and juices over the top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
