One-Pan Butter Parmesan Pasta

A rich, creamy pasta dish infused with garlic and parmesan, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/23 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • 1/2 tsp each: salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional toppings: fresh parsley and red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Gather everything you need. Mince the garlic, grate the parmesan, and measure out your broth.
  2. Sauté Garlic and Olive Oil: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute.
  3. Add Chicken Broth and Pasta: Add 2 1/2 cups of chicken broth to the pan. Bring to a gentle boil, and then add the ditalini pasta. Stir well and cook according to package instructions (about 8-10 minutes).
  4. Stir in Cream and Butter: Once the pasta is al dente, lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and butter, mixing until combined.
  5. Incorporate Parmesan: Add in the parmesan cheese and stir until it melts into the sauce. Adjust with more broth or cream if needed.
  6. Season and Taste: Sprinkle in your salt and pepper, taste, and adjust flavors as necessary.
  7. Serve Immediately: Plate your dish, adding more parmesan and optional toppings if desired.
