Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Bread

This delicious bread combines the flavors of peanut butter, chocolate, and ripe bananas for a moist and flavorful treat perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth, leaving some chunks if desired.
  3. Mix in the peanut butter until well combined.
  4. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the mixture and stir until incorporated.
  5. Whisk in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  9. Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
  10. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  11. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  12. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

This banana bread freezes well when wrapped tightly in plastic wrap. You can also enjoy it warm with a bit of extra peanut butter on top!
