Homemade Marshmallow Fluff

A delightful and easy recipe for homemade marshmallow fluff, perfect for topping desserts or enjoying on its own.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Make sure your mixing bowl is clean and dry.
  2. Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan; mix and place over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Incorporate the egg whites and salt in a mixing bowl, and whip until soft peaks form.
  4. Bring on the heat by carefully pouring the hot sugar-water mixture into the whipped egg whites while mixing.
  5. Mix on high speed for about 5-10 minutes until it cools and holds stiff peaks.
  6. Add the vanilla extract and mix gently to incorporate.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Fluff may thicken, so stir before using.
