Chickpea Nuggets

Crispy and delicious Chickpea Nuggets that are easy to make and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prep your chickpeas by draining and rinsing them under cold water.
  2. Mash the chickpeas in a medium mixing bowl, leaving some chunks for texture.
  3. Mix in the breadcrumbs, Parmesan (if using), parsley, garlic, cumin, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Form nuggets by rolling a tablespoon of the mixture into a nugget shape.
  5. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot.
  6. Fry the nuggets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Drain them on paper towels before serving.

Notes

Serve with a variety of dipping sauces such as tahini, yogurt sauce, or ketchup. Feel free to experiment with different spices and herbs.
