Cherry Dump Cake

A simple and delicious dessert made with cherry pie filling, yellow cake mix, and butter, perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of cherry pie filling
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (about 175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by spraying it lightly with cooking spray or greasing it with butter.
  3. Layer the cherry filling into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  4. Add the dry cake mix over the cherry filling without stirring.
  5. Melt the butter and drizzle it evenly over the cake mix layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the cherry filling is bubbling.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For an added crunch, sprinkle sliced almonds or shredded coconut on top before baking.
