Apple Cheddar Quesadilla

A delightful twist on a classic snack, combining sweet apples with sharp cheddar cheese in a crispy quesadilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium Apples (tart varieties like Granny Smith recommended)
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 4 Flour or Corn Tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or Oil
  • Optional Spices (e.g., cinnamon or chili powder)

Instructions

  1. Prep the apples: Wash and slice into thin wedges or cubes; squeeze lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Shred the cheese if using block cheddar.
  3. Heat the pan over medium heat with butter or oil until melted.
  4. Assemble the quesadilla by placing a tortilla in the pan, layering cheese and apples, and folding over.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, flip and cook another 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  6. Slice and serve warm, optionally with sour cream or honey.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add jalapeños; for a nutty flavor, incorporate walnuts or pecans. Experiment with herbs for additional flavor.
