Mini Jalapeño Popper Egg Rolls

Crispy egg rolls filled with creamy cheese, spicy jalapeños, and crunchy bacon, perfect for serving at gatherings or movie nights.

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 4 Jalapeños, seeded and diced
  • 12 Egg Roll Wrappers
  • 1/2 cup Cooked Bacon Bits
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • Vegetable Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, cooked bacon bits, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Wrap It Up: Place an egg roll wrapper on your clean work surface, with a corner facing you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling onto the wrapper.
  3. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry to Perfection: Carefully place a few egg rolls in the hot oil and fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  5. Drain the Oil: Remove the egg rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Notes

Serve with ranch or spicy dipping sauce. For a twist, try buffalo sauce in the filling or bake instead of frying.
