Ultimate Mango Mousse

A refreshing and creamy mango mousse that captures the essence of summer in every spoonful. Perfect for any occasion!

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the gelatin: In a small bowl, combine the gelatin and water, and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it thickens.
  2. Puree the mangoes: In a blender, add the diced mangoes and a tablespoon of sugar. Blend until silky and smooth.
  3. Whip the cream: In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  4. Heat the gelatin: In a microwave-safe bowl, gently heat the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved (about 10-15 seconds).
  5. Combine the mixtures: In a large bowl, mix the mango puree, remaining sugar, vanilla extract, and dissolved gelatin. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
  6. Chill the mousse: Scoop the mixture into serving dishes, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Notes

For added flavor, garnish with mint or a slice of fresh mango. Adding lime or lemon zest can enhance the taste.
