Keto Hot Chocolate

A delightful low-carb version of hot chocolate that warms the soul on chilly days.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons erythritol or another sugar substitute
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the almond milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent scalding.
  2. Mix in cocoa powder and erythritol, whisking until dissolved.
  3. Add heavy cream and stir until combined.
  4. Finish with vanilla extract and pinch of salt, whisking gently.
  5. Serve the hot chocolate in a favorite mug, optionally topping with whipped cream or cocoa powder.

Notes

For a frothy texture, use an immersion blender after adding heavy cream. Consider adding special toppings like sugar-free marshmallows or chocolate drizzle.
