Halloween Treats with Candy Eyes

Delightful and spooky cookies topped with candy eyes, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Candy eyes for decoration
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until blended.
  6. Divide the dough and add food coloring, if desired.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes, then decorate with candy eyes.
  10. Enjoy!

Notes

Chill the dough for 20 minutes if it’s too warm to prevent excessive spreading. These cookies can also be frozen before baking.
