Spider Deviled Eggs

A whimsical twist on classic deviled eggs, perfect for parties and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Black olives (for decoration)
  • Paprika (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs: Place your eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let them simmer for about 9-12 minutes.
  2. Cool the eggs: Transfer them to a bowl of ice water for about 10 minutes.
  3. Peel the eggs: Gently tap and roll the eggs to crack the shell, then peel from the wider end.
  4. Prepare the filling: Slice the peeled eggs in half lengthwise, remove the yolks, and mash them with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  5. Fill the eggs: Fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture.
  6. Create the spiders: Cut black olives for spider bodies and legs, arranging them on the egg filling.
  7. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle paprika on top and arrange on a platter.
