A festive and nostalgic dessert layered with creamy vanilla pudding, bright orange gelatin, and fluffy whipped cream, perfect for Halloween.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 package orange gelatin
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Candy corn (for garnish)
  • Crushed graham crackers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Vanilla Pudding: Cook 2 cups of milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Mix 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of cornstarch in a bowl, then whisk into warm milk until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in 2 teaspoons of vanilla and cool slightly.
  2. Make the Orange Gelatin: Follow package instructions to prepare the orange gelatin. Dissolve in boiling water and refrigerate until set.
  3. Whip the Cream: In a bowl, beat together 1 cup of heavy cream and 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar until soft peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Layer Your Parfaits: In clear glasses, layer the vanilla pudding, orange gelatin, and whipped cream, repeating until full.
  5. Garnish: Top with candy corn and crushed graham crackers.
  6. Chill Before Serving: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set the layers.

Notes

For a chocolate twist, add a layer of chocolate pudding. For a dairy-free option, use almond or coconut milk and a dairy-free whipped topping.
