Egg in a Hole

A nostalgic breakfast classic featuring a sunny side up egg nestled in crispy, buttery brioche.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice brioche sandwich bread
  • 2 teaspoons salted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep your bread by cutting a round hole in the center of the brioche slice.
  2. Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Toast the bread slice in the skillet for about 2 minutes until golden.
  4. Add the egg into the hole of the toasted bread.
  5. Cook the egg for about 3 minutes on medium heat.
  6. Finish and flip the bread to cook for another minute on the other side.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
