  • 8 oz mini mozzarella balls
  • 8 large fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 dashes black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash the tomatoes: Begin by rinsing your cherry tomatoes under cold water. Pat them dry gently with a clean towel.
  2. Halve the tomatoes: Grab a sharp knife and slice the cherry tomatoes in half.
  3. Prep the mozzarella: If using larger mozzarella, slice it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Chop the basil: Roll up your basil leaves and slice them into thin strips.
  5. Combine the ingredients: In a mixing bowl, gently toss together the halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil leaves.
  6. Dress the salad: Drizzle the balsamic vinegar and olive oil over the top, add salt and black pepper, then mix lightly.
  7. Taste and adjust: Give your salad a quick taste test and modify according to your preference.
