Crispy and sweet apple fries made in the air fryer, perfect for a delightful snack or dessert.

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep the apples: Wash thoroughly, slice into fry-like shapes, and core them.
  2. Create the coating mixture: Whisk together flour, egg, milk, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Prep the panko and sugar: Mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  4. Coat the apple fries: Dip each fry in the flour mixture, then transfer to the panko mixture.
  5. Air fry: Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes and place coated apple fries in a single layer.
  6. Cook: Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.
  7. Cool and serve: Let them rest slightly before plating and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
