Berry Puff Twists

Delightful flaky pastry twists filled with luscious mixed berry preserves, perfect for a quick dessert or sweet snack.

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup mixed berry preserves
  • 1 egg, beaten for wash
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry to about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Cut the pastry into long strips about 1-inch wide.
  5. Add about 1 tablespoon of mixed berry preserves to one end of each strip.
  6. Twist each strip once or twice to create an airy shape.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle granulated sugar.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

Notes

For a vegan option, use almond milk for the egg wash. You can freeze the twists before baking for future enjoyment.
