Baked Ziti

A comforting baked ziti recipe that’s cheesy, flavorful, and perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 pound ziti
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the marinara sauce in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Mix the ricotta cheese with salt, pepper, and parsley in a bowl.
  5. Assemble in a baking dish: layer marinara, half the ziti, half the ricotta, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, finishing with marinara and remaining mozzarella on top.
  6. Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Serve and enjoy after letting it rest for 10 minutes.

Notes

Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge or frozen for later. Customize with additional ingredients like veggies or meats for different variations.
